The Center of Basra and Arab Gulf Studies / Department of Political and Strategic Studies, organized a seminar on the role of law in preserving documents. The aim of the session, which was attended by Lecturer. Hussain Khalil Matar, was to identify the significant interest sought by the legislator in providing protection for documents. It also dealt with highlighting the historical, academic and legal importance of documents, as well as indicating their types in accordance with Document Preservation Law No. 37 of 2016.
