The Center of Basra and Arab Gulf Studies at the University of Basra organized a scientific workshop entitled: (The Holy Qur’an and its impact on accepting deeds during the holy

The workshop aims to demonstrate the greatness of the holy month of Ramadan and its positive impact on society. The workshop included a lecture by Dr. Hassanein Al-Musawi from Al-Furat Al-Awsat University who spoke on the merits of the month of Ramadan and its role in educating oneself and avoiding sins. While Dr. Rafid Sabbar from the University of Kufa spoke about man's love for his Creator and his guardians, which will inevitably lead to harmony among the members of society. The workshop recommended investing this holy month in good deeds to build a cohesive and cooperative society. The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Mohsen Al-Hajjaj from the Center of  Basra and Arab Gulf Studies. The workshop included a religious competition and prizes for the winners presented by Dr. Rafid Al-Sabar, which was a book he wrote by himslef
