Center for Basra and Arab Gulf Studies at the University of Basra organized a symposium on the political, economic, social and cultural dimensions of the Gulf 25 Championship. 
The symposium aims to shed light on the 25th Gulf Championship in Iraq Basrah province. The symposium touched on the Gulf attendance presence in Basra, the active presence of all Gulf football federations, and the success of Basra and Iraq in general in hosting this tournament and its political, economic, social and cultural dimensions and its reflection on Iraq.
