Basra and Arab Gulf Studies Centre at the University of Basrah organised a seminar on the positive and societal effects of Iraq's hosting the championship of Gulf 25.

The seminar aimed to highlight the hosting of Iraq in general and the province of Basra in particular of this important event.

The seminar, which was lectured by Dr. Saad Dawai and Dr. Imran Al-Karkushi, and chaired by Dr. Ali Jouda Sbeih Al-Maliki stressed the reflection of this event on Iraq's international reputation and its return to hosting sports events, especially after the stability of the security situation and the construction of sports facilities
The symposium recommended that all efforts of state institutions, civil society organisations, and citizens should join forces to make this event a success.
