Basra and Arab Gulf Studies Centre, Department of Economic Studies at University of Basra, conducted a seminar on the possibility of achieving a green economy in Iraq.

The seminar, which was lectured by Assistant Professor Elham Khazal Nashour, aims to identify the concepts of the green economy. The seminar dealt with (the reasons for the emergence of the green economy and how to reach this economy in Iraq) and the most important recommendations made by promoting environmental awareness and education and preparing development programs to reach the green economy, as well as providing the appropriate climate for transferring the use of energy to new generations
