Basra University organizes a symposium on the visit of Imam Hussein in Al Arbaeen 
Center of Basra and Arab Gulf Studies, Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies at the University of Basra organized a symposium entitled (Forty (Arbaeen) of Imam Hussein, (peace be upon him) as intellectual and ideological radiation). It located in the conference hall of the center with the participation of a group of specialized instructors.
The symposium aims to shed light on the reality of the Arbaeen visit and its objectives. The symposium, chaired by Lect. Dr. Khaled Sakban, the lecturer included:
 Prof. Dr. Taesir Auhmed, his paper entitled as (The Husayni Renaissance as an Islamic Doctrine)
Prof. Asst. Dr. Abbas Abdul Aziz, the lecture was (The communicative dimensions in analyzing the linguistic text of the Arbaeen visit)
Dr. Hala Fathi, her lecture covered Lamentations of Imam Hussein in Iraqi poetry between tradition and recent trends 
Lect. Abbass Jasim shed light on the visit in the historical and religious texts
The symposium recommended the need and importance of printing and publishing research papers that discuss the intellectual and ideological aspects of Arbaeen visit
